CHAPTER HIGHLIGHTS
The first full day of the PC 5, having started yesterday with an elaborative opening ceremony. Today, the 27th of May, the Chapter members had two main tasks:
a) to listen to the reports of the Provincial and the Provincial Economer in the light of PC 4, and
b) to discuss any issues raised in the reports that would need either some clarification or that would require emphasis for the good of the Province.
The report of the Provincial was 20 pages in length, while that of the Provincial Economer was 23 pages long. Both were read in their entirety, and they gave a clear and honest picture of the state of the Province from the point of view of animation and development since PC 4, and offered a reasonable platform for evaluation and discussions by the Chapter commissions.
The Commissions then reported back to the Chapter assembly their interventions, clarifications and corrections. This went up to nearly 7 pm. This day of the Chapter was evidently a very important day as it gave the Chapter Assembly a panoramic view of the province, and therefore a sense of focus on pertinent areas that the Assembly needs to address for the good of the Province.
